Hestia Wealth Management, LLC

Hestia is the Greek goddess of hearth, home, and family. She is one of the original 12 Olympian gods and goddesses. Her story is unique in that she never married or had children. Instead, Hestia devoted her life in service to the other gods and goddesses on Mount Olympus.

Kate’s passion for service is apparent in every aspect of her life. Whether through her work planning and advising clients, or with her family and friends, her church, or non-profit organizations like the March of Dimes and the Northwest Chamber of Commerce, she is always willing to lend a hand. Kate has a heart dedicated to service, so it’s only fitting that she named her firm after the original servant-leader, Hestia.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in economics at Towson University, Kate  joined Carroll, Frank & Plokin, LLC, a financial services firm, in 2002 as a financial administrative assistant to co-founder Fred Frank. She quickly fell in love with financial planning and decided that she would devote her career to serving others via financial planning and advising. Kate loves helping clients get organized, define goals, and create plans to reach those goals. She loves to read and likens financial planning to a good mystery novel. Like a mystery, we know the outcome – the goal we want to achieve – we just need to sift through the clues – current and projected finances – to figure out how they add up and solve the mystery!

In addition to serving and reading, Kate is also an amateur violinist and plays with the Westminster Symphony Orchestra at McDaniel College, going out to local restaurants to share a meal with family and friends, or sometimes just with a good book!
